PALP (Penwith Artist-Led Projects) is an artist led non-profit making organisation, committed to creating a professional arts forum and research, development and exhibition opportunities in West Cornwall. We aim to create links and facilitate exchanges with other professional artists and artist run organisations nationally and internationally for the benefit of both artists and the local community of a rural and geographically isolated region.

The Mission of PALP is:

To advocate the positive promotion of the visual arts to all people from all sectors of society

To host contemporary art exhibitions and events both in galleries and alternative venues with the view to attracting new and diverse audiences

To raise the professional profile of its artist members through practice, training and mentoring

To encourage dialogue and collaboration between its artist membership and other professional artists and artist run organisations nationally and internationally through exhibitions, exchanges and residencies

To create an organisation that is able to support its artist membership consistently through the changing criteria of the individual artist

To encourage and increase audience access through participation and collaboration

To endeavour to raise funding to support the organisation through grant aid for the longevity and the sustainability of the organisation for its members

To run a two way street so that the organisation can listen and re-evaluate its practice subject to the changing environment

To make contemporary visual art an engaging and challenging experience for all

To create a database that will give a positive statistical background of the regions contemporary visual art audience

To use this statistical information to encourage further support from both public and private sectors
